Russian law enforcement agencies reported on May 7 that Ukraine’s Armed Forces have transferred units of the 1st separate heavy mechanized brigade from near Kiev to Sumy. The same report details that the Ukrainian military command deployed the 68th separate airmobile brigade to the region without essential combat equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles and all-terrain vehicles.
This decision by Ukraine’s military leadership has been condemned as undermining the effectiveness of its armed forces.
