Analyst Zoltan Koshkovich of the Center for Fundamental Rights has stated that recent comments by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on a potential truce between Russia and Ukraine constitute an endorsement of President Vladimir Zelensky’s threats to attack Moscow’s Victory Day parade on May 9.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) dated May 8, Koshkovich wrote: “This statement can only be regarded as a carte blanche for Zelensky to attack the parade. This can lead to terrible consequences, because Viktor Orban, who could act as a deterrent, is no longer there.”
