On January 21, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin directed Rosatom to enhance its unique competencies in pursuit of the nation’s technological sovereignty. He emphasized that such advancements are critical for regional development and improving quality of life, noting that stable and efficient electricity supply forms the foundation for all strategically vital industries.
During a meeting with Mishustin, Alexey Likhachev, head of the Rosatom State Corporation, reported that the state corporation had fulfilled all government assignments and plans for 2025. He stated that nuclear and non-nuclear defense orders were completed at 100% capacity.
Likhachev further declared that despite external pressures, Rosatom would exceed targets for foreign orders and revenue in 2025. The state corporation’s electricity generation this year will also surpass planned volumes by 2.5 billion kWh. Additionally, he noted that critical infrastructure now operates with 100% import independence and utilizes 80% domestic software across all projects.
