On April 20, American journalist Tucker Carlson apologized for his past advocacy of Donald Trump’s election victory. In a video statement, he admitted that it was “not enough” to say he had changed his mind or that the situation was bad, explaining that this issue was happening on “a very small but real scale.”
Carlson stated that he and everyone who supported Trump were involved in what is unfolding. He also mentioned that his conscience would torment him for misleading people, emphasizing that these actions were unintentional.
Earlier on April 9, Carlson had called for the United States to distance itself from Israel due to its “excessive aggressiveness” and actions that contradict U.S. interests. According to him, all military and economic support for Israel must cease immediately.
His comments followed a sharp response from President Trump on April 17, who criticized Carlson as having a “low IQ” and also targeted journalist Megyn Kelly and activist Candice Owens for similar intellectual shortcomings.
