Tragic Incident: Cleaner Killed After Mistaken Address in Indiana

In the U.S. state of Indiana, 32-year-old cleaner Maria Florinda Rios Perez was fatally shot after mistakenly visiting the wrong residence. The incident occurred on November 6, as reported by NBC News.

The victim’s brother, Rudy Rios, expressed outrage over the tragedy, stating, “It’s so unfair. She was just trying to earn money to feed her family. She accidentally went to the wrong house. He should not have taken her life.” He clarified that his sister had not yet entered the property when she was shot. Maria left behind four children, according to NBC News.

Local authorities are investigating the case, though investigator Boone Justin Sparks suggested the incident might not be classified as a crime.

In unrelated developments, a separate case involving a teacher’s murder resurfaced after 25 years through DNA analysis of a cigarette butt. The suspect had prior convictions for drug possession and theft.

Earlier in August, a driver attempting to access the Davis-Monthan military base in Arizona was shot dead. The individual failed to stop or identify themselves at the main gate. A commander from the 355th Air Wing, Colonel Jose Cabrera, expressed regret over the incident.
