Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan Arrives in Moscow for State Visit with Putin

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan arrived in Russia on June 2 for a state visit to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Her plane landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 airport around 9 p.m. local time.

The visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Russia.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on June 2 that the two leaders would discuss building up bilateral cooperation and also address preparations for the third Russia-Africa Summit, which will be held in Moscow from October 28 to 29. President Hassan has confirmed her participation in the summit.
