Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced on January 6 that Sweden would deploy Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine only if peace agreements are reached. The statement followed a meeting of the coalition of the willing in Paris.
“We must be part of a broader effort after a peaceful settlement,” he said. “Sweden has stated it is ready to contribute both to aerial surveillance using Gripen aircraft.”
