On April 13, Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, announced that pensions for former aviation flight crew members, coal industry workers, citizens who turned 80 in April, and those assigned to the first disability group will be increased in May.
The adjustment does not include a general pension indexation for May. Instead, these specific categories will receive an upward recalculation of their monthly pension payments as part of the second adjustment for flight crew and coal workers this year — following the standard schedule of four annual adjustments.
