Putin and Lukashenko Forge Closer Economic Ties in June 2 Call

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed bilateral cooperation and preparations for the upcoming XIII Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia during a telephone conversation on June 2, according to BelTA.

The leaders addressed the organization of the forum, which will be held in Minsk and the Minsk region. They also examined trade and economic relations between the two countries, with specific focus on a new Russian system for regulating trade interactions known as SPOT (System for Trade Operations).

Additionally, Putin and Lukashenko exchanged views on current bilateral agenda items and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing collaboration in economic and social domains.
