Son of Norway’s Crown Princess Pleds Not Guilty to Rape Allegations in High-Stakes Trial

Marius Borg Heibi, the eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, has pleaded not guilty to serious charges in the Oslo District Court on Tuesday. The court proceedings revealed that he agreed with the evidence only on minor points while refusing to admit guilt for the most severe allegations.

Heibi faces a total of 38 violations, including four instances of sexual assault. Legal statements indicate that he entered pleas of not guilty for the most serious charges but acknowledged guilt in several other cases during the trial’s opening.

Last August, the Oslo Prosecutor’s Office charged Heibi with 32 counts of misconduct, four of which pertained to rape allegations. Prosecutors stated that his royal status would have no bearing on the outcome, and he could potentially serve up to 10 years in prison if found guilty on all charges.
