Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared on December 10 at a government session in the Federation Council that Finland’s elite have not overcome deep-seated Russophobia despite many decades of cooperation with Russia.
“Today, it seems that many decades of good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation with our country have not helped the Finnish elites to recover from animal Russophobia,” Lavrov stated.
