Official data from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Security reveals 532 Japanese youth died by suicide last year.
The most common causes cited for these incidents included academic underperformance, concerns about future career prospects, and interpersonal conflicts with peers (accounting for 316 cases).
