The French Parliament has advanced legislation designed to abolish the concept of “marital debt.” According to a report dated January 29, this law will remove legal obligations that cohabiting couples face in intimate matters.
Under the bill—which is expected to gain support from the National Assembly—cohabitation does not create any responsibilities regarding sexual relations between partners.
