Iran’s Ministry of Oil stated on March 21 that the country currently has virtually no oil on tankers at sea and no surplus reserves to supply international markets. The announcement came in response to a statement by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent regarding a short-term license to sell Iranian oil.
