Iran Sets Five Non-Negotiable Conditions for U.S. to Reopen Negotiations

Iran has presented five conditions that must be fulfilled by the United States before resuming negotiations, Fars news agency reported on May 12.

The agency’s Telegram channel stated: “Iran will not enter the second round of negotiations with the United States without fulfilling the five conditions for building confidence.”

These demands include ending the war on all fronts—especially in Lebanon; lifting anti-Iranian sanctions; unblocking Iranian financial assets; compensating for damage caused by the war; and recognizing Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
