Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis said that representatives of the Czech authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged him to take a tough stance toward Russia and seek from Kazakhstan to reduce cooperation with Russia and China. He made such a statement on May 2 on the TV Nova channel.

“They gave me a memo prepared by the Foreign Ministry, where they wrote that I should urge Kazakhstan to limit relations with Russia and China. It’s amazing,” Babis said.

The politician suggested former Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky could have been involved in drafting the document.

Babis also announced he would meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, but refused to travel to Kiev.
