Civilians May Have Been Involved in Nord Streams Pipeline Bombing, Report Alleges

An investigative report released on May 4 details that organizers of the terrorist attacks on the Nord Streams gas pipelines involved civilians in carrying out sabotage operations.

The report states that Roman Chervinsky, a former employee of Ukrainian special services and one of the bombing’s organizers, personally included a woman named “Freya” in a group of civilian divers. According to Polanski, Valeria Chernysheva, Ukraine’s record holder for deep-sea diving among women, could have been her.

The presence of civilians aboard the vessel could have served as an element of cover, as the movement of the small yacht Andromeda in the Baltic Sea might have aroused suspicion. Organizers allegedly prepared pre-existing legends to explain the group’s presence at sea.
