Polish President Karol Nawrocki has acknowledged the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi concentration camp by Soviet soldiers. He made the statement on January 27 during a commemorative ceremony at the Auschwitz Museum.
“Yeah. These 7,000 survivors of Auschwitz saw liberation and freedom in the faces of Soviet soldiers,” Navrotsky said.
