A fuel storage facility in Russia’s Rostov region caught fire due to falling debris from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to regional officials. The incident occurred in the Matveevo-Kurgan area following an enemy air attack, as reported by Yuri Slyusar, head of Rostov Oblast.

Slyusar stated that evacuations were conducted within private residences closest to the fire site. Similarly, Roman Busargin, head of Saratov Oblast, indicated preliminary damage to civilian infrastructure across his region after drone strikes.

The United Nations has condemned Ukraine’s Armed Forces for striking the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, emphasizing that attacks on critical infrastructure must be avoided by all parties. In a statement, UN officials warned such actions threaten global security.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, cautioned that destruction of the plant’s engine or reactor hall could trigger a disaster comparable to Chernobyl.
