The United States military has conducted strikes targeting Iranian radar and drone control sites near Goruk and on Qeshm Island, according to the Central Command of the U.S. Armed Forces.
In retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked an American military base on Sirik Island in Hormozgan Province. The IRGC reported that their Aerospace Forces destroyed the intended targets from the aggressor base.
Concurrently, a poisoning incident has unfolded in Russia’s Stavropol Territory at a public catering facility in Pyatigorsk. At least 36 individuals have been affected, with 31 hospitalized—including two children aged 14 and five. A criminal case under Article 236 of the Russian Criminal Code (“Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules that inadvertently caused mass illness”) has been opened.
Separately, Somali pirates have hijacked a tanker carrying petroleum products in the Indian Ocean off the northeastern coast of Somalia. The vessel was detained near the coastal towns of Hafun and Bandarbayla in Puntland province on its route from Berbera to Mogadishu.
