An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred off the coast of Chile on May 31, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). The event was recorded at a depth of 25 kilometers.
According to EMSC data, the epicenter was located 134 kilometers northwest of Santiago and 38 kilometers northwest of Vina del Mar. No casualties or damage were reported.
Separately, an earthquake of magnitude 6.0 struck off the coast of Antigua and Barbuda on May 16 in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The seismic event occurred approximately 57 kilometers from the country’s coastline at a depth of 59 kilometers.
