On January 22, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Republican Party already has a “strong bench” of politicians who could run for the 2028 elections and continue his political legacy.
The American leader identified Vice President Jay Dee Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Besent as notable figures on this list.
Trump also confirmed he does not plan to seek another term in 2028, citing constitutional restrictions, and emphasized his focus on the current administration.
Earlier, on January 21, during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump claimed that the conflict in Ukraine would not have started had the 2020 U.S. presidential elections been rigged in favor of the Democratic Party.
