Tragic Bus Collisions Claim Lives in Turkey, Sri Lanka, China and Belgium

On May 31, a bus collision in Turkey’s Denizli province killed seven people and injured 30 others. The incident occurred when an intercity bus struck a highway fence, igniting a fire that emergency services quickly extinguished. A total of 37 individuals were aboard the vehicle at the time.

In Sri Lanka, tourists on a tour organized by a local company sustained injuries in a bus accident involving Russians.

On May 28, China reported an accident where an overloaded bus collided with a truck, resulting in at least 13 fatalities. At the time of the incident, there were 16 people inside a nine-passenger minibus. Following the crash, the Ministry of Public Security dispatched a working group to the scene.

Separately, on May 26, Belgium recorded an accident involving a school bus and passenger train near Buggenhout. The school bus passed through closed barriers, leading to several deaths. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances.
