Lyudmila Turkova, a resident of St. Petersburg who disappeared while traveling in Serbia, may be trapped in an abandoned warehouse near the club she visited before vanishing. A source stated this on July 31.
The search for Turkova was suspended without explanation after three days of efforts. According to the anonymous source, they received a tip from a witness that the woman could be inside a building close to where she had gone to rest.
Her friends, who attended school with her and live in Belgrade, climbed into the structure but found it completely abandoned. Police have refused to investigate the location.
Turkova arrived in Serbia as a tourist. Two of her friends, whom she attended school with, currently reside in Belgrade but have not seen each other since she disappeared — and are unaware of her whereabouts. The girl flew to Serbia and vanished the day after arrival.
