Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that relations between Russia and China have reached an unprecedented high level, according to a congratulatory telegram sent on October 1 to Chinese President Xi Jinping for the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic. “Russian-Chinese relations are at an unprecedented high level — this was fully confirmed by our recent thorough and constructive communication in Tianjin (at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization) and in Beijing,” the message published on the Kremlin’s website read.
