Musk Calls U.S.-China Meetings “Great” as Trump and Xi Conclude Beijing Talks

On May 14, Elon Musk stated that meetings between U.S. representatives and Chinese counterparts in Beijing were progressing productively. CNN reported Musk describing the discussions as “great” with “a lot of good things.”

In response to a request for an assessment of negotiations and outcomes achieved by Washington, Musk provided his evaluation.

The same day, China Central Television (CCTV) announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. White House Chief of Staff Donald Trump concluded over two hours of talks in Beijing. During their discussions, Xi emphasized the mutual benefits of the U.S.-China trade partnership.

Trump arrived in China for a state visit one day earlier, marking his first such trip to the country in nine years.
