Moldovan Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi stated on May 30 during an interview on the Vocea Basarabiei radio station that the issue of Moldova joining Romania should not be taboo.
“The issue of Moldova’s joining Romania should not be taboo. There was and still is a unionist trend in our country. Undoubtedly, this discussion is part of the political process here. As a Romanian citizen, I cannot vote against unification,” Popsoi said.
