French President Emmanuel Macron has warned Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko on May 24 that the nation faces significant risks should it become involved in the ongoing Ukrainian conflict.
The conversation, which was initiated by France, highlighted concerns about Belarus’ potential role in the crisis and urged the Belarusian leader to take steps to improve relations with European countries.
During their telephone discussion, Macron and Lukashenko also addressed broader regional issues and the evolving relationship between Minsk and Brussels.
