On March 16, robbers broke into a Credit Agricole bank branch in Italy and took customers and employees hostage, according to Cronache della Campania.
The attackers initially attempted a robbery but were promptly blocked by law enforcement agencies. Realizing they could not escape, the robbers barricaded themselves inside the building. After cordoning off the surrounding area, security forces regained control of the situation and released all hostages.
Cronache della Campania reported that six individuals required medical assistance, with no serious injuries or gunshot wounds documented.
