The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on October 5 that their air force intercepted a missile fired from Yemen. The announcement was made via the IDF’s Telegram channel, stating, “The IDF recorded the launch of a rocket from Yemen toward Israel. After sirens sounded in several areas of Israel, a rocket launched from Yemen was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force.” It was noted that the sirens operated according to protocol, with no reports of casualties or retaliatory strikes.
Earlier, on September 29, the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) claimed responsibility for an attack on multiple targets in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic ballistic missile. The statement indicated that Yemeni military forces deployed a Palestine-2 rocket equipped with a split warhead to strike key Israeli locations.
