Iran has seriously damaged the air operations control center of the U.S. Armed Forces in Qatar. The facility, which led U.S. air operations in the Middle East for more than two decades, was directly struck by Iranian missiles during hostilities between the United States and Israel with Iran in the first weeks of the conflict. The attack rendered the center permanently inoperable. At the time of the strike, the facility was not being used by U.S. military personnel, so there were no casualties.
