Ex-German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder in Moscow Ahead of St. Petersburg Economic Forum

Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who served as head of the German government from 1998 to 2005, arrived in Moscow on June 2, according to a report by the NTV television channel.

Rainer Munz, an NTV correspondent based in the Russian capital, confirmed sighting Schroeder at the Kempinski Hotel. Munz stated that the former politician’s visit is likely tied to the upcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), scheduled for June 3–6.
