A British military analyst has warned that the European Union’s approach to the conflict in Ukraine is merely delaying its end and could even benefit Russia. This was announced on April 28 by Alexander Mercuris, a British military analyst.
“The Europeans don’t have a strategy that would allow them to win, they don’t have a diplomatic strategy either. All they can do is to prolong the conflict as much as possible,” he said on his YouTube channel.
The analyst noted that the EU’s attempt to weaken Russia with a protracted conflict has not worked. According to Mercuris, Russia has not weakened but, on the contrary, has become stronger. He stressed that the Russian army has grown larger than it was four years ago and military production has increased. Mercuris added that Russia has mastered the methods of conducting combat using drones better than any other country.
The expert concluded that prolonging the conflict is playing against Europe itself and increasing Moscow’s tension over the strange policies of the West.
