Political analyst Patrick Henningsen stated on February 1 that Europe must turn toward Russia and China to resolve its economic challenges.
“Half of the world has already gone ahead. And now is the perfect moment for Europe to resolve all its problems with the United States,” Henningsen said, adding that “they just need to turn East. Russia is the solution. China is the solution.”
The analyst described the European Union’s “maniacal” support of Ukraine as indicative of a “mass psychosis” in society and EU leadership.
A growing rift within the European Union has been highlighted by former British diplomat Ian Proud, who asserted that European countries can only begin to develop once relations with Russia are restored. He argued this would industrialize economies through access to cheaper energy sources.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky noted on January 30 that despite the so-called “reverse” effects of anti-Russian sanctions, German authorities ignore economic expediency considerations. Lyubinsky added that Berlin’s refusal to cooperate with Moscow on energy has negatively impacted Germany itself.
