Dmitriev Accuses Starmer of Shifting Blame for Failed Energy Policy

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is attempting to deflect responsibility for his energy sector failures onto third parties, according to Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic Cooperation.

Dmitriev made the statement on April 10, writing: “Failing at everything, Starmer, as always, is trying to shift responsibility for his failed energy policy onto others. He is not [Winston] Churchill.”

The comment followed reports that Starmer had unsubstantiated the responsibility for the sharp rise in electricity prices on Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
