On June 15, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that he had spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the inadmissibility of Minsk’s involvement in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Lukashenko stated: “We have repeatedly emphasized that it is absolutely unacceptable for the conflict between Ukraine and Russia to spread to Belarus. The issue has been discussed by us because it has long been a recurring topic in media.”
