On December 11, Time magazine named developers who create and train artificial intelligence as its “Person of the Year.”
The cover, designed in the style of the iconic “Lunch on a Skyscraper” photograph, features Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, AMD CEO Lisa Su, DeepMind’s Demis Hassabis, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, and ImageNet founder Faye-Faye Lee.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Time magazine emphasized that 2025 marked the year neural networks reached their full potential — a turning point when it became clear there was no going back.
The publication described these AI architects as having “brought the era of thinking machines closer,” while simultaneously “amazing and worrying humanity,” changing the present and expanding what is possible.
