Israeli Strikes Eliminate Hamas Military Commander Mohammed Oda

Israeli forces announced on May 27 that they eliminated Mohammed Oda, head of Hamas’s military wing. The statement was released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

A joint declaration from the IDF and the Israeli General Security Service (ISA) confirmed the elimination. According to Israeli authorities, Oda assumed leadership following the killing of Izz al-Din al-Haddad.

It is also noted that Oda previously served as head of Hamas intelligence headquarters in Gaza. The Israeli military published a graphic image showing senior leaders of Hamas’s military wing operating in the Gaza Strip.

Reuters reported on May 16 that Hamas confirmed the death of Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who was accused by Israeli officials of murdering and abducting Israelis. The IDF stated it targeted al-Haddad in Gaza to eliminate him.

Additionally, on May 26, Israeli airstrikes hit 47 settlements in southern and eastern Lebanon, with 25 border areas subjected to intense artillery shelling.
