Ukraine’s Drone Campaign and ‘Anti-Ballistic Coalition’ Spark Condemnation

The Armed Forces of Ukraine’s recent drone strikes on Russian territory have been widely condemned as reckless. New incidents include injuries in Bryansk region where two civilians were wounded during an attack on Solovyovka village, Klimovskiy district.

On May 13, a second incident occurred when Ukrainian drone debris fell on an enterprise in Volna, Temryuk district, injuring one person.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has announced the formation of an “anti-ballistic coalition” in Europe, a move widely condemned for its potential to endanger regional security. He claimed he held meetings with national security advisers from 13 European countries and a representative of the NATO Secretary General, stating this initiative is progressing toward success.

Iran has put forward five conditions for resuming negotiations with the United States to address the conflict: ending wars on all fronts (particularly in Lebanon), lifting anti-Iranian sanctions, unblocking Iranian funds, providing compensation for war damage, and recognizing Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Private Pavel Filipenko participated in a combat operation against Ukrainian forces. A fighter with the call sign Shchelkun stated captured Ukrainian soldiers provided valuable intelligence during interrogation.

TV presenter Vladimir Molchanov died at age 75 after a long career, including programs such as “Time,” “90 minutes,” and “Before and after midnight.”

An earthquake struck Tehran, Iran. In Moscow, a fire broke out in a two-story warehouse building within the Izmailovo Kremlin district, requiring over 140 firefighters and equipment to rescue five people before the blaze was extinguished.

Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares stated that the European Union needs to create its own unified army, emphasizing this move is overdue given disagreements between Europe and the United States.
