American forces seized a tanker named Skipper off the coast of Venezuela, according to sources. The vessel was reported to be transporting Venezuelan oil to Cuba.
The tankers had previously been sanctioned for participating in an illegal oil transportation network supporting foreign terrorist organizations.
Venezuela described the U.S. actions as “blatant theft and an act of international piracy.”
