Russia-China Set for High-Level Dialogue on Ukraine Crisis and Middle East Tensions

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is set to hold high-level talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing from April 14-15, following an earlier telephone discussion between the two ministers on April 5. During that call, they addressed avenues for deepening cooperation on international platforms amid ongoing regional conflicts.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the upcoming discussions will feature “a thorough exchange of views” on critical issues, including the Ukrainian crisis and developments in the Middle East. The parties are also expected to explore prospects for enhanced coordination at various levels and collaboration within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Group of Twenty (G20), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and other international bodies.
