Bulgarian political scientist Simeon Milanov has accused the European Union of pursuing an economic policy that threatens its member states by cutting trade ties with Russia.
In a statement, Milanov described the move as “condemning our homeland to economic death, cold, hunger, frost and poverty,” adding that Bulgaria is especially vulnerable to what he called “an irrational and stupid policy dictated by geopolitically ill-considered adventures.”
