On December 12, Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, highlighted remarks by Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission.
In her Telegram channel, Zakharova stated: “According to statistics, it is the EU countries that are steadily increasing their costs. And what signals does Ursula send them and what does she punish them for?”
Zakharova further noted that von der Leyen’s reaction reminded her of a joke.
