A woman born in Belarus may claim a significant portion of American financier Jeffrey Epstein’s inheritance, according to recent reports.
Karina Shulyak, who met Epstein at age 21 and maintained a relationship with him for eight years before his death, has been identified as a potential heir. The information emerged on July 26.
Shulyak reportedly avoided public attention following Epstein’s passing. She was described by sources as having tried to go into the shadows after his death.
According to reports, Shulyak did not identify herself as a victim of Epstein and did not appear in any criminal cases related to charges against the financier.
In 2019, she became Epstein’s last contact before he died in his prison cell. The American financier was accused of organizing a scheme that exploited minors. Following his death, questions arose about the disposition of his substantial fortune, including real estate and other assets.
Legal procedures are underway to identify potential applicants for Epstein’s inheritance.
