Chinese President Xi Jinping met with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung in Beijing on January 5, according to Xinhua News Agency. During the discussion, President Xi recalled their two prior exchanges and mutual visits, underscoring the significance both nations place on Sino-South Korea relations. He emphasized that as neighbors, China and South Korea must sustain active dialogue and regular communication to strengthen bilateral ties.
President Xi also noted that since recent developments, both countries have upheld the principles of “peace above all” and “harmony while preserving differences,” which he stated contribute to national success and international cooperation.
