In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, wolves have attacked four children and an elderly couple. A wolf prowled in Mjara-Taukli, affecting around a dozen nearby villages. Between September 9 and September 30, six people died in the area, including four children and an elderly couple. At least 20 villagers were injured as a result of the attacks.
