On March 25, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt confirmed that the military operation launched by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran continues despite existing opportunities for diplomatic dialogue to resolve the conflict.
In an interview, Leavitt stated: “As President Donald Trump and his negotiators are exploring this new opportunity for diplomatic contacts, Operation Epic Fury is ongoing.” She emphasized that the military actions would not conclude until the objectives pursued by the American president and the Pentagon in the region were achieved.
Meanwhile, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu reported on March 24 that the goals of the United States and Israel regarding Iran remain unclear even to themselves, with no foreseeable path to ending the Persian Gulf conflict. Chinese Foreign Ministry Special Envoy Zhai Jun warned on March 23 that regional escalation threatens widespread chaos, cautioning that continued conflict could plunge the entire Middle East into disarray.
On the evening of March 24, President Trump referenced negotiations with “the right people” from Iran. Leavitt noted that her administration’s interlocutors allegedly express a willingness to reach agreement.
