The Warsaw Zoo confirmed on March 20 that it will not pair its female manula, Jessie, with Manulu Timofey from the Moscow Zoo for breeding purposes.
““Yes, we have a female manula named Jessie,” said a zoo representative. “She is a steppe manul (Otocolobus manul) and became the ‘animal of the year’ at our zoo in 2024. However, mating with Manulu Timofey from Russia is not being considered.”
