Temporary restrictions on flights at Vilnius Airport were lifted on October 5, according to a statement from Aviagavan’s press service. The airspace reopened at 04:50 local time (coinciding with Moscow time), the publication reported.
The temporary shutdown earlier in the day led to flight cancellations and rerouting of aircraft to alternative airports. Earlier on October 5, air traffic was suspended overnight due to the presence of foreign objects in the airspace, reportedly balloons. The suspension began at 22:16 local time.
