Venezuela has signaled its openness to international energy agreements based on respect, according to a statement by Acting President Delcy Rodriguez on January 7.
“Venezuela possesses the largest reserves of oil and gas in the world. These resources should serve the development of the country and other countries,” Rodriguez said. “We are ready for relations based on respect within the framework of contracts that respect international law.”
